Have you ever considered running for political office, but don't know how to begin? Or, do you want to help local candidates run their campaigns? NYSUT offers training to assist educators who want to run for office and get elected. In 2019, NYSUT's "pipeline training" helped 53 candidates run for local office in New York. Starting in January, training will take place at the NYSUT Suffolk Regional Office in Hauppauge. There, you'll develop the skills necessary to be a candidate for office, manage a campaign, or help run an effective school board race. See the attached flyer for details, or visit https://www.nysut.org/news/2019/january/pipeline. Dennis Urban BMUST Political Action Committee ![]()
