BELLMORE MERRICK RETIRED TEACHERS ASSOCIATION
(BMRTA)
The Bellmore Merrick Retired Teachers Association (BMRTA) is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization of retired educators. The mission of the Association is to provide opportunities for its members to stay connected to the educational community on a local, state and national level with the objective being to enhance them professionally, politically and socially. This is accomplished through the 5 objectives of BMRTA which are as follows:

To act as a liaison between the Bellmore-Merrick retired teachers and
The Bellmore-Merrick United Secondary Teachers, Inc.(BMUST)

To maintain and improve service available through local, state and national affiliates.

To maintain and improve legislation on all the local, state and national levels.

To keep all members of BMRTA informed professionally, politically and socially.

To stay professionally and socially involved with active teachers and retirees.
