BELLMORE MERRICK RETIRED TEACHERS ASSOCIATION
The Bellmore Merrick Retired Teachers Association (BMRTA) is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization of retired educators. The mission of the Association is to provide opportunities for its members to stay connected to the educational community on a local, state and national level with the objective being to enhance them professionally, politically and socially. This is accomplished through the 5 objectives of BMRTA which are as follows:

- To act as a liaison between the Bellmore-Merrick retired teachers and The Bellmore-Merrick United Secondary Teachers, Inc.(BMUST)
- To maintain and improve service available through local, state and national affiliates.
- To maintain and improve legislation on all the local, state and national levels.
- To keep all members of BMRTA informed professionally, politically and socially.
- To stay professionally and socially involved with active teachers and retirees.
