Hello everyone!
BMUST's New Teacher/100 Hour Committee reaching out. We present the CTLE Resource Page on the BMUST website: https://www.bmust.org/ctle-resource-page.html A special thanks to BMUST's webmaster, Dan Stiglitz for all his help in this effort. Earlier in the year, we asked you, the membership, to submit any questions you have about CTLE. After doing the necessary research, we present to you the answers to those questions and more! Should you have any questions about the information presented, or further questions about CTLE, please let your New Teacher/100 Hour building rep know. We view this resource page as a "live" document/website and we are free to add questions as they come up. We wish everyone a smooth end to the school year! Our best, BMUST's New Teacher/100 Hour Committee Anthony Brandofino - Mepham Catherine Arresto - Calhoun Lauren Beinert - MAMS Meg Billia - Grand Catrina Christensen - MAP Carla Petroro - Kennedy Dear Colleagues,
Happy Friday! I hope this message finds you well. As has become our practice, I’m reaching out to ask those who are able to help us replenish our sick bank. While we hope to never need it, this contractual benefit is invaluable to those who do. Our contract allows the sick bank to hold a number of days equal to our membership—currently approximately 530 members. If you're interested, more details about the sick bank can be found in Article X of the contract (pages 17–19). As the school year draws to a close, we are asking for your help, if you are able, in rebuilding the bank. While everyone who is able is encouraged to contribute a day, two groups can donate multiple days:
When I check Frontline Absences (AESOP) under Account → Absence Reason Balance (top right corner of the table), I see I have 232 days. With a maximum of 241 days, I will only receive 9 days on July 1 (241 - 232 = 9). Therefore, I plan to contribute 6 days to the sick bank. By donating days that would otherwise go unused, we help ensure the sick bank remains a strong safety net for all members. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or a building representative. Your head building representative has the donation form. Here’s to a successful conclusion to the school year! In Solidarity, Rob |
