I hope this email finds you well. I'm reaching out to share an exciting opportunity for our union's future. NYSUT is accepting applications for their Local Action Project (LAP), a comprehensive three-year training program designed to strengthen local unions and develop leadership skills. We have the opportunity to send a team of up to six members, and I already have several colleagues expressing interest. The program requires a three-year commitment, including a week-long summer conference each year at Lake George (July 21-25 this summer). The application deadline is January 31st. I've attached a detailed overview of the program, and we'll discuss this opportunity at next Wednesday's RA meeting. This is a chance to be part of shaping our union's future while developing valuable leadership skills alongside fellow BMUST members. With the deadline quickly approaching, please don't hesitate to reach out (ext. 1068 or [email protected]) if you are interested or have any questions. In Solidarity, Rob Local Action Project |
